Jo Hovind Sentenced
The wife of creation 'evangelist' Kent Hovind was sentenced today in Pensacola, Florida. Her husband Kent Hovind is currently serving a 10 year sentence in South Carolina. Both convictions were based on trying to avoid tax authorities in one way or another. Kent Hovind claims he did not owe taxes because he was employed by God.
Jo Hovind was sentenced to 1 year and 1 day. That's a pretty light sentence and the judge probably took into account the fact that she was mostly controlled by an overbearing criminal husband. After listening to the tapes that Hovind made while in prison and his treatment of his wife in those calls, I feel some sympathy towards Jo Hovind. Still, if you are an accomplice in a crime, you're going to do the time.

Hovind is a bit overzealous when it comes to ani-goverment views as his 10 year prison sentence testifies. However, I believe your discrediting of creationism as "anti-science" is not fair and does not take any truth that can be found therein into account. Your atheistic views have fueled your passion for this website and I believe you need to be a little bit more open minded to other ideas and the logic that some of those ideas can present. Evolution is flawed and patched up severely. I'd be interested in you showing me some more convincing evidence for the truth that may lie in the theory of evolution so that I may be able to practice what I preach and take your ideas into account.
